2025 Peppernut Report
Well, Peppernut Elves, we out did ourselves this year! According to my calculations we produced a grand total of 1124 cups of peppernuts (minus the ones that I ate while baking them ☺). That means we earned a grand total of…. (drum roll please) …. $2810 dollars.
That was 85 recipes of Peppernuts using 324 cups of flour, 98 cups of sugar, 56 cups of margarine, and a bunch of elbow grease! We exceeded our goal of purchasing the entire MCC gift giving guide and contributing to our local Foodbank Christmas Hamper program. Prairie Meadow Place appreciates this opportunity for Seniors to contribute to charities at home and abroad. Thank you to all the participated. After meeting our goals, we will use the excess to put towards resident entertainment and activities and purchasing Peppernut making equipment.
A big thank you to all that participated in this project either by helping in the production or purchasing peppernuts or both! If you are willing to keep producing …. next year’s goals will include contributing to the local Rosthern Hospital Fund. Looking forward to spending future time together rolling and cutting peppernuts!
